Our clients are looking for a Java Software Engineer tojoin their exciting small team in Hampshire.You will join the R&D department to develop mission-critical software on the Android platform. You will also help develop the next generation Linux-based platform in collaboration with hardware engineers. Responsibilities Develop cutting-edge automotive software solutions, written primarily in Java for use on the current Android platform and in the future a Linux-based environment. Carry out research and development activities to advance the software platform to stay at the cutting edge of the industry. Develop and execute test cases at the unit and system level. Manage multiple ongoing projects and effectively communicate progress with the rest of the team. Requirements Experience developing Java applications (Java 5 or greater). Familiarity with user interface and user experience design. Software testing and debugging experience. Comfortable reading datasheets and API specifications and understanding their implications.
