The Role

We are seeking a talented and driven Event Business Development Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with key accounts to ensure their success while also identifying and developing new opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate is a consultative seller with strong event industry knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue through strategic account management. Your dedication and expertise will be pivotal in creating a best-in-class customer experience and contributing to the long-term success of ExpoPlatform.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with event organisers at senior levels, identifying opportunities for new solutions and services.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers' organisations, ensuring partnerships span across multiple stakeholders and departments.
  • Proactively share insights, analysis, and reporting to help clients optimise event performance.
  • Create and execute a sales and marketing plan to achieve agreed revenue targets.
  • Generate accurate reports on account progress, including pipeline management, growth strategies, and opportunity tracking.
  • Represent ExpoPlatform at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums, both in person and through social channels.

Skills & Experience

  • A successful track record of growing revenues through proactive sales and account development.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with enterprise/large accounts.
  • Knowledge of the events industry and the digital needs of organisers (highly desirable).
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A consultative, solutions-focused mindset — positive, creative, and persuasive.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Pipedrive or Salesforce.
