Overall purpose of the job: Ensure consistent and high standards of health and safety. The role will work closely with the field installation, project and operational teams during the planning and delivery stages of projects. This includes responsibility for site safety audits, timely submission and adequacy of documentation, and attending client meetings. Supporting the field engineering teams through site inspections, delivery of safety briefings, and completion of site reports and H&S feedback is also required.
Key responsibilities for this job:
- Responsibility for site based QHSE systems and procedures.
- Working with customers and various operational teams to prepare and review company and project specific H&S document packs.
- Ensuring compliance and alignment with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Operational oversight, ensuring QHSE procedures are adhered to.
- Preparing the QHSE documents needed to deliver, control and manage each phase of projects.
- Conducting site visits and meetings to ensure document sign off and approval from clients.
- On-site safety briefings, including toolbox talks, to site and office staff together with providing updates to management.
- Ensuring adherence and continual improvement of Safe system of Works through monitoring/measurement/review of operational working methods and practice.
Knowledge and experience required:
- A formal technical qualification and relatable industry knowledge and experience.
- Health & Safety – NEBOSH/IOSH qualification.
- An understanding of and conversant with CDM Regulations, and site QHSE operations.
- Experience in site survey, assessment of, and writing of risk assessments.
- A thorough understanding of the roles and responsibilities within CDM, working as a Principal Contractor/CDM Coordinator.
- SSMTS or equivalent.
- Numerate, with good communication, written and verbal skills.
- Computer literate.
