We are looking for experienced consultants to help lead and further expand our Structural Engineering consulting efforts, as well as contribute to the continued growth of our practice. You will be responsible for Developing a profitable and dynamic structural engineering consulting practice based in Exponent’s London office Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities and promoting Exponent through typical business contacts Recruiting, developing and mentoring staff in the areas of structural engineering, failure analysis and investigation, and both domestic and international dispute resolution Promoting Exponent\’s expertise in structural engineering by meeting with potential clients, presenting at conferences and conducting seminars Providing strategic consulting and expert witness work Bringing advanced and insightful solutions to clients in your recognized areas of expertise Providing project management and project budget oversight Developing and mentoring staff in both technical and business areas You will have the following skills and qualifications M.S. or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (desired but not required) Significant business development experience with a proven track record An outstanding professional reputation with an existing client base Significant experience in construction claims, dispute resolution, and litigation services Proven business development and client management track record, and the ability to attract projects to support full-time staff Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams A record of professional papers and presentations and a proven record of dedication to quality and accuracy Current chartered engineer Effective leadership skills with the ability to positively interact with professionals, technical staff, and administrative staff Experience providing expert testimony in a dispute resolution setting Applicants are encouraged to submit a CV (Curriculum Vitae) with publications (feel free to include publications that are in review or pending) [not restricted to 1 page].
