We are currently recruiting for a Managing Environmental Fate and Behaviour Specialist for our Practice in Harrogate (UK), Edinburgh (UK), Mannheim (DE), or Basel (Switzerland) offices. Home working may also be considered.

In this role, you will work as part of a team to provide high level technical and strategic regulatory consultancy services to internal and external clients as well as undertaking some staff management. You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting environmental exposure assessments for European regulatory submissions of plant protection products
  • Providing strategic scientific advice to clients on European regulatory environmental fate/environmental exposure issues
  • Summarising and interpreting environmental fate data
  • Monitoring environmental fate studies on behalf of clients
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered to high standards, on time and within agreed budget

You will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • MSc or PhD in chemistry, biology or a closely related field together with experience of working in a regulatory environment
  • A proven track record of successful environmental exposure regulatory submissions for pesticides in the EU
  • Excellent written and communications skills
  • Delivery of projects to high standards, on time and within agreed budget
  • Staff management experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience of conducting environmental exposure assessments for European regulatory submissions of biocidal products and/or experience of performing or monitoring environmental fate studies would be an advantage
