We are currently seeking a Principal Engineer for our Mechanical Engineering Practice in our London office. As a Principal Engineer, you will have a significant role in developing business and expanding the practice in this technical and geographic area.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities, and promote Exponent through industry and legal contacts.
- Significantly contribute to increasing Exponent's mechanical engineering consulting efforts.
- Provide strategic consulting and expert witness work.
- Bring advanced and insightful solutions to clients in your recognized areas of expertise.
- Provide project management and project budget oversight.
- Develop and mentor staff in both technical and business areas.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
- Significant business development experience with a proven track record.
- Ability to attract projects to support full-time staff and to manage and develop a group of highly motivated individuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams.
- A record of professional papers and presentations and a proven record of dedication to quality and accuracy.
