The Employer is a Singapore-based boutique consulting firm that provides Market Development services to clients from Europe and North America. It conducts Market Studies and advises clients on Market Entry Strategies for different countries in Asia. It supports its clients with a wide range of promotional events in specific markets; helps them find Buyers, Distributors, Agents, or JV Partners; and advises them on setting up manufacturing facilities and sales offices in Asia. It acts as SE Asia Representative Office for several European trade promotion organizations and regularly organises trade delegation visits from Asia to Europe.
Responsibilities
- The selected candidate will be responsible for planning and execution of B2B trade events in different countries in Asia. Specific responsibilities include:
- Secondary research on different industry sectors in Asia
- Maintain an updated database through internet research and phone calls of companies and related institutions/trade bodies in the assigned markets
- Conduct email campaigns to disseminate information about upcoming events
- Logistics coordination and operations of various activities associated with the marketing events or trade delegation visits
- Set up relevant trade meetings for European delegations to Asia
- Oversee and manage interns and temp staff engaged on project-to-project basis
Requirements
- Ideal candidates will have:
- Degree/diploma from a reputed institution
- Work experience of 5-7 years of which at least 2 years should be in Events, Market Research and related areas
- Strong internet research abilities; Good writing skills
- Good telephone and general conversation skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a must.
- Knowledge of Asian and European languages would be advantageous
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills. Hands-on. Independent. Positive, 'Can Do' attitude. Willingness to work in small teams.
- Strong commitment to nurturing relationships with clients, customers, vendors and partners
- Willingness to travel within Asia and Europe, as required.
