About the role Responsible for the mechanical assembly of complex systems, primarily pneumatic with some electronic and electromechanical components. This includes working with a variety of parts such as filters, regulators, sensors, and tubing, as well as handling larger assemblies that may involve metal pipework. The role requires both precision assembly skills and the ability to adapt to different system sizes and configurations. What you'll do * Assemble and test complete systems and sub-assemblies as required. * Fit components into standard and bespoke enclosures, ensuring quality and readiness for shipment. * Carry out functional testing to confirm system performance and compliance. * Apply fault-finding and problem-solving skills to resolve issues during assembly and testing. * Work on varied builds rather than repetitive small-volume subassemblies, ensuring attention to detail across different product types What we are looking for Experience Essential: * Proficient in the safe and effective use of hand tools. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and pneumatic circuit diagrams. Desirable: * Experience in mechanical assembly. * Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g.5S). * Experience with electrical or electronic assembly in addition to mechanical work. Person Specification * Strong problem-solving skills with a fault-finding mindset. * Comfortable working on varied tasks, including bespoke or one-off assemblies where documentation may not be fully defined. * Physically capable of handling heavy products; lifting aids are provided, but the role involves standing, moving, and physical assembly work. * Willingness and interest in cross-skilling across related disciplines.
