The Vacancy
Identify and develop new and existing revenue streams by implementing targeted sales strategies. This role focuses on improving profitability through the establishment and growth of strong, mutually beneficial relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners, both directly and via intermediaries.
This role will require travel on a national basis.
Main Responsibilities

Work with operational teams to ensure efficient processes and customer requirements are met.

Collaborate with Customer Service to maintain a consistent customer experience.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Oversee tender submissions, presentations, and commercial negotiations.

Provide marketing feedback to improve literature and materials for business development.

Use various sources, including tender portals, to:

Track market trends, competitor activity, and account opportunities.

Identify ways to enhance our value proposition across sectors.

Stay informed on new commercial projects and opportunities.

Communicate key opportunities and market changes to adapt strategies and resources.

Develop a business plan to support annual growth and profitability targets.

Strengthen customer relationships by aligning our offerings with their business needs.

Ensure accurate entry of customer data in the CRM system.

Produce regular Pipeline reports.

Proven ability to build and nurture relationships within the Transport sector, leading to the acquisition and retention of profitable national and regional contracts.

Strong track record of leading or influencing teams, collaborating across departments, and demonstrating the commercial acumen needed to meet financial and performance targets within a larger organisational structure.

In-depth knowledge of key industry information sources to stay informed of the latest trends and developments, ensuring Explore Plant and Transport Ltd remains an industry leader.
