The Vacancy
The purpose of the role is to operate On Track Plant. The OTP operator will be responsible for the safe operation of the machine, including ensuring all pre shift inspections are carried out.
Main Responsibilities
- Safe operation of plant machinery, according to training and Network Rail / Sentinel.
- Completion of pre-shift around checks and inspections.
- Maintenance of all On-track plant.
- Produce reports of any damages promptly.
- Be prepared to travel to client sites and stay away from home as business needs dictate.
- Promote Continuous Improvement and become involved in new ideas as requested.
- Act as an Ambassador for the Company.
Skills/Knowledge
- Must have previous OTP Operator experience including excavator cranes.
- Experience in a similar role (preferred).
- Previous operational experience in the Rail Industry.
- Understanding of the processes and procedures of large/major Railway Infrastructure sites.
Qualifications
- Relevant CPCS operator card for the type of machine being operated.
- Sentinel Competency for OTP and attachment groups.
- Must hold a valid PTS card and Virtual Card endorsed with AC and/or DC lines (DCCR).
- Hold a valid Alcohol, Drugs and Medical Certificate issued by an approved medical provider.
