We are looking for an ambitious individual to come and support our Whiteley centre. You will gain invaluable leadership, education and customer service experience in exchange for a highly rewarding partâtime role making a real difference in children's lives!
The Role What you'll contribute:
- Most of your time will be spent in our tutor role â youâll tutor up to six children aged 4â16 in one of our vibrant centres, using our innovative Compass learning tool.
- Create Lessons that Last: Leading with a tailored learning approach, alongside our smart learning tool â Compass â you will empower our members to overcome challenges and see them progress!
- Create Lasting Relationships: Our small group sessions operate in a 1:6 ratio which will allow you to build incredible relationships with your members. You will inspire children to be fearless in their approach to learning!
- Create Change: We pride ourselves on the progress our members make and as an Explore Learning tutor you will be key to making this happen. You will support your members as they progress through national curriculum, entrance exam and GCSE preparation.
Excitingly, there will be times when we ask you to be at the helm of our vibrant tuition centre! You will have the opportunity to:
- Develop your customer service skills: you will be the main contact for parents and guardians, confidently answering any queries, and using your problemâsolving skills to deliver great service and ensure smooth centre operations.
- Lead and inspire: you will be confident to lead and inspire your peers! Confidently supporting them in carrying out their duties and supporting them with any questions.
- Ensure our members are safe: You will ensure you are vigilant to any safeguarding concerns and keep the children in your care safe. You will be trusted to open and close the centre.

Logistics: You will tutor small groups in sessions with a 1:6 ratio. You should be confident to teach children ages 4â16 covering national curriculum, 11 plus entrance exam and GCSE content. You must be able to physically get to the centre you are applying for.
Due to the nature of the role and the importance of the relationships you will build with the children â this role is best suited to those looking for a longâterm commitment, ensuring consistency and stability for the children youâll be working with. You will be contracted to work at least 6 hours a week across at least 2 different days. On days when you are carrying out additional responsibilities, you need to be able to get to the centre between 2 and 3 pm.
Base pay: 18â20 â ÂŁ10.90 21+ â ÂŁ12.75 An additional 50p per hour will be added if working at a centre inside the M25. You will be paid for all training and inductions. For performing the additional responsibilities mentioned, your hourly pay will be increased by ÂŁ2.

Requirements: Youâll need to have achieved a grade 6 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level or equivalent. You must be age 18 or over and have the right to work in the UK.
