As a business, our client works closely with prestigious end customers across the sporting world, with a particularly strong presence in football, cricket, and beyond. This collaboration enables them to build cutting‑edge AI‑driven products that support accurate, data‑led business decisions.
The Role
Our client is now looking to hire a Python Developer with a strong backend background to help design and build new products from the ground up. You will play a key role in shaping architecture, contributing to technical decisions, and putting your own stamp on exciting, greenfield solutions within a fast‑moving start‑up environment.
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience in software development
- Strong commercial experience with Python
- Hands‑on experience building APIs using FastAPI
- Experience with Pydantic for data validation and modelling
- Strong understanding of ORMs, particularly SQLAlchemy
- Experience working with relational databases and writing efficient queries
- Interest in the sports industry (e.g. Football, Cricket, Tennis) or commercial exposure to sports or eSports
- Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline
