Explore Group has partnered exclusively with a scaling start-up to support them in hiring an experienced Python Developer. Our client works closely with prestigious end customers across the sporting world, with a particularly strong presence in football, cricket, and beyond. This collaboration enables them to build cutting-edge AI-driven products that support accurate, data-led business decisions.
Our client is now looking to hire a Python Developer with a strong backend background to help design and build new products from the ground up. You will play a key role in shaping architecture, contributing to technical decisions, and putting your own stamp on exciting, greenfield solutions within a fast-moving start-up environment.
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience in software development
- Strong commercial experience with Python
- Hands-on experience building APIs using FastAPI
- Experience with Pydantic for data validation and modelling
- Strong understanding of ORMs, particularly SQLAlchemy
- Experience working with relational databases and writing efficient queries
- Interest in the sports industry (e.g. Football, Cricket, Tennis) or commercial exposure to sports or eSports
- Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline
