Full-Stack Engineer – Early-Stage AI Platform
About the role
A high-growth AI startup is looking for an exceptional full-stack engineer to join as one of their first hires. The company is building a platform that automates complex workflows for professional services, enabling users to draft documents, analyse orders, summarise transcripts, and quickly locate key information.
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a small founding team, shipping production code from day one and owning major features end-to-end. You will engage with users to understand their needs, scope problems, develop solutions, and continuously improve them.
Responsibilities
- Work across the full stack, including cloud infrastructure, backend (Python), frontend (Next.js with TypeScript), and databases (PostgreSQL)
- Collaborate with users to understand workflows and requirements
- Architect and scale document ingestion and processing pipelines for fast, accurate data extraction
- Develop intelligent multi-step AI workflows to automate complex tasks
- Design intuitive, AI-native user experiences tailored to professional workflows
- Improve system performance, stability, and observability as the platform scales
- Contribute to engineering culture, including best practices, mentorship, and hiring
