About the Role
We are seeking a Software Lead Engineer to join an agile team of 5 in London. In this hands‑on leadership role, you will bridge the gap between software and hardware, working across three core verticals: Gen AI, Cloud / Back‑End / TypeScript, and Product Systems.
You don't need to be a deep technical specialist in all three, but you must have the breadth and understanding drive product execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small, multidisciplinary team working at the intersection of AI and hardware.
- Connect and integrate work across Gen AI, Cloud/BE infrastructure, and Product Systems.
- Drive creative problem-solving and software execution for Physical AI applications.
Requirements
- Domain Focus: Strong understanding and experience in Physical AI (Machine Learning experience is a strong plus).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading a small technical team.
- Background: Computer Science degree (or equivalent) from a top‑tier university.
- Industry Experience: Background working within hardware-for-software or robotics/hardware‑adjacent tech companies.
- Tech Stack: Exposure to TypeScript, Back‑End infrastructure, and Cloud systems.
- Location: Must be based in or willing to commute onsite to London.
