FinOps Engineer – SC Cleared – Inside IR35
We are seeking an experienced FinOps Engineer with expertise in AWS cloud cost management, tools like QuickSight and Cube Cost, and a solid understanding of cloud financial operations.
- AWS Cost Management : Monitor and optimise AWS spending, manage Savings Plans and Reserved Instances, and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Reporting and Visualisation : Develop dashboards using QuickSight, integrate Cube Cost for accurate forecasting, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Financial Governance : Establish FinOps best practices, build chargeback models, and measure unit economics.
- Optimisation : Automate recurring cost management tasks and collaborate on resource optimisation.
- Collaboration : Work with finance and engineering teams on budgets and train teams on cost-conscious practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong experience with AWS cost tools (e.g., Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor).
- Proficiency in QuickSight and Cube Cost reporting.
- Knowledge of AWS pricing models and optimisation frameworks.
- Technical expertise in Python, SQL, or similar for analysis.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
