We have an exciting opportunity for an Aerospace MRB & Buildline Support Engineer to join our MRB Team at our Expleo offices (3 days) and onsite (2 days) at our customer premises in Samlesbury. This is a permanent or PSC position on a minimum 6-month contract. Salary is negotiable based on experience and seniority. The contract is inside IR35. The successful candidates will deliver high-quality service, demonstrating proactivity and self-motivation to support the product.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Technical Authority for Design & the Programme Delivery Lead for MRB:
  • Carry out design analysis on non-conformances to identify defects requiring rework solutions.
  • Process concessions/NCRs, assessing defect impact on assembly and interfaces.
  • Identify efficient analysis methods while adhering to airworthiness and procedural requirements.
  • Liaise with design, stress approvers, and suppliers to ensure appropriate design solutions considering cost, time, performance, and installation.
  • Understand tolerance build-up and the impact of machined detail deviations on assembly.
  • Explain and escalate critical issues; mentor others.
  • Be on-site 2 days per week in Samlesbury.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent with practical engineering and manufacturing experience.

  • Skype / Outlook / MS Office

Experience

  • Knowledge of military processes related to concessions.
  • Experience on TYPHOON project is an advantage.
  • Experience automating repeatable tasks/processes.
  • At least 3 years of working on concessions, with delegated technical approval preferred.
  • Understanding of material properties, manufacturing methods, and their effects on aircraft performance.
  • Knowledge of change processes, SAP CAM, CATIA V5, PLM Teamcenter, and build tolerances.
