Responsibilities
- Creation of CAD Models and Drawings: Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to meet required standards.
- Design Deliverables: Ensuring all design deliverables are completed accurately and on time. Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders during appropriate design phases to ensure coordination and functionality of design.
- Technical Support: Providing technical support during the construction and installation phases. Perform self-verification of work. Reporting of technical progress and issues to line management.
- Be aware of and ensure that safety, health and environmental requirements are implemented. Assist with the maintenance and improvement in quality standards of outputs.
Qualifications
- The candidate is required to hold an NC/HNC or an equivalent qualification/experience in relatable discipline subject.
- Apprenticeship in relevant discipline or relevant industry experience.
Essential skills
- Experience of the following key technical knowledge areas: Mechanical Design, Structural Design, Piping.
- Familiarity with shipbuilding/ship repair terminology and practices.
- Be proficient in the use of one or more parametric/spec driven CAD system both in a 3D & 2D environment. FORAN Windchill.
