Project Support Officer

Overview

Expleo is seeking to speak with a Project Support Coordinator to support vehicle development at a renowned Automotive Research & Development centre in the UK on a permanent basis.

Based in Cranfield, the ideal candidate would live within a 45-minute commute of the university site.

The role will involve hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days on-site (subject to the successful completion of the probation period, which must be spent 5 days on-site).

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating, generating, and managing the implementation of various cost-saving concepts to help our client excel in international markets.
• Gain exposure to innovative automotive projects and develop working relationships with experienced engineers.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities within the Research and Development centre through technical analysis and benchmarking, liaising with engineers to assess sustainability and suitability, and preparing reports for senior management on each proposal.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC (Degree preferred)
• Automotive experience preferred
• Project tracking and management experience desirable

Essential Skills

Proficiency in:

• Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• PowerPoint
• Full UK driving license

Desired Skills

Ideally, candidates will have:

• Automotive knowledge
• Experience with vehicle components and systems
• Experience in cost reduction activities
• Project management experience

Experience

• 2-5 years of industry experience preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided
