Responsibilities
- Planning : Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with overall programme objectives.
- RAID Management : Identify, manage, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies.
- Finance Management : Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery.
- Reporting : Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
- Quality Management : Ensure all deliverables meet the required quality standards
Qualifications
- Desirable Certifications : MAPM, Scrum Master, PMP, Prince2
Essential skills
- Strong understanding of the systems development lifecycle.
- The ability to understand and lead the construction of system & data integrations
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Ability to think logically and use own initiative as well as mine in-house and supplier IP to build on your knowledge base with regards to the industry and the project / programme.
- Able to apply project management disciplines such as stakeholder identification and management, supplier management, risk and issue logs, decision logs
- Strong understanding of Waterfall methodologies
- Strong understanding of Agile (Kanban & Scrum)
- Experience of working with Programme and Project managers in large deployments
- People management skills – the ability to lead and focus teams in complex projects
- Strong self-management – continuous performance is both an objective and a mind-set
- Desire to continue to build IT domain knowledge– tools, applications, platforms
- Desire to embrace and work within new industries
- An analytical mindset to ensure details are not overlooked and that the critical path is managed throughout the project

Experience
- Experience in data migration from legacy systems to new, including culling of non-essential data and consideration of parallel runs (test environment / production) and multi-wave implementation to production.
- Experience of leading large-scale projects with multiple sub-projects and inter-dependencies.
- Supplier Management – managing external suppliers to ensure that the scope of work is delivered within time, cost and quality constraints.
- Change Management in terms of processes and procedures, organisational change, training and documentation.
- Comfortable working within a hybrid Waterfall / Agile framework
What do I need before I apply
- The expectation is that you will be able to work on client site in Buckinghamshire 1-2 days per week or as the programme requires.
- Fluency in English is required to effectively communicate with clients.
