Responsibilities

  • Planning: Build and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with overall programme objectives.
  • RAID Management: Identify, manage, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies.
  • Finance Management: Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery.
  • Reporting: Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
  • Quality Management: Ensure all deliverables meet the required quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Desirable Certifications: MAPM, Scrum Master, PMP, Prince2.

Essential skills

  • Strong understanding of the systems development lifecycle.
  • The ability to understand and lead the construction of system & data integrations.
  • Excellent client-facing skills.
  • Ability to think logically and use own initiative as well as mine in-house and supplier IP to build on your knowledge base with regards to the industry and the project/programme.
  • Able to apply project management disciplines such as stakeholder identification and management, supplier management, risk and issue logs, decision logs.
  • Strong understanding of Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Agile (Kanban & Scrum).
  • Experience of working with Programme and Project managers in large deployments.
  • People management skills – the ability to lead and focus teams in complex projects.
  • Strong self-management – continuous performance is both an objective and a mind-set.
  • Desire to continue to build IT domain knowledge– tools, applications, platforms.
  • Desire to embrace and work within new industries.
  • An analytical mindset to ensure details are not overlooked and that the critical path is managed throughout the project.
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential for effectively interacting with clients.
  • Microsoft Project.

Experience

  • Experience in data migration from legacy systems to new, including culling of non-essential data and consideration of parallel runs (test environment/production) and multi-wave implementation to production.
  • Experience of leading large-scale projects with multiple sub-projects and inter-dependencies.
  • Supplier Management – managing external suppliers to ensure that the scope of work is delivered within time, cost and quality constraints.
  • Change Management in terms of processes and procedures, organisational change, training and documentation.
  • Comfortable working within a hybrid Waterfall/Agile framework.
  • Experience within the automotive industry or energy industry is desirable but not essential.

What do I need before I apply

You will be expected to be on-site with clients in Buckinghamshire 1 to 2 days per week or as the programme requires.
