Are you a hands-on engineering expert with real-world experience in Process Design and Layout gained within an Automotive manufacturing environment? We’re looking for a specialist who will be responsible for the certification and development of PFMEA plans to support Trim and Final Assembly for a major UK based OEM.

Responsibilities

  • To help identify Risk Discovery/Preliminary Risk Assessment
  • Create and/or update the Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
  • Create and/or update the Parameter Diagram (P-Diagram)
  • Create and/or update the Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) – ideally with working knowledge of 2016 Standard.
  • Create and/or update the Design Review Board or Failure Mode (DRBFM) where changes exist.
  • Create and/or update the Action & Risk Reduction Plan
  • Create and/or update the Special Characteristics Register
  • Create and/or update the Prototype / Pre-Launch / Production Control Plan

Qualifications

Time served engineer educated to degree level or equivalent.

Essential skills

  • Must have worked within an Automotive environment (ideally Trim & Final Assembly) for a major OEM.
  • Must have experience of PFMEA - 2016 standards.
