As part of the Expleo Automotive & Transportation Cybersecurity team, you will report to the Solution Architect / Head of Function and support client projects. Within the Automotive & Transportation Cybersecurity Practice, you will be part of a dynamic and passionate team. You will work on complex and captivating projects integrating the latest technological solutions and trends. This is a technical customer-facing role which will provide you with the opportunity to work with emerging technologies and cutting-edge products in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide SOTIF engineering services to our clients in accordance with ISO 21448 across the applicable lifecycle phases.
  • Contribute to Item Definition with focus on intended functionality, ODD, and system limitations.
  • Perform SOTIF hazard identification and triggering condition analysis.
  • Develop and maintain SOTIF Hazard Log and scenario classification (Known Safe/Unsafe/Unknown Unsafe).
  • Define and document risk reduction measures for functional insufficiencies.
  • Develop and support verification and validation (V&V) strategy for SOTIF scenarios.
  • Define scenario-based validation approach, coverage metrics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support residual risk evaluation and SOTIF safety case argumentation.
  • Ensure traceability of SOTIF activities within customer-approved tools.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to undergraduate or post-graduate in a relevant subject.

Essential skills:

  • Practical project experience applying ISO 21448.
  • Strong understanding of interaction with ISO 26262.
  • Experience in ADAS/AD systems (camera, radar, sensor fusion, perception limitations).
  • Strong competence in verification & validation, including:
    • Scenario-based testing.
    • Simulation and proving ground validation.
    • Edge case identification.
    • Validation coverage definition.
    • Statistical confidence and residual risk justification.
  • Ability to develop structured safety documentation and technical arguments.
  • Experience working in requirements and traceability tools (e.g. JAMA).
  • Practical knowledge in comms protocol (e.g. CAN, LIN, ETH).

Experience:

  • Background in Automotive Engineering, including specific experience in SOTIF.
