This Manufacturing Engineering Process/Support Engineer vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation. The job holder will be engaged in a wide variety of Engineering process operations and acting as the first line of production support during the manufacture and assembly of satellite components, sub assemblies and structures. This is an ideal opportunity to progress your career within a space delivery capability.
Responsibilities:
- In line with project needs, perform the digital assignment of Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) to BOM hardware.
- Attach the associated design datapack and publish to the operational MES system.
- Monitor operational process performance and undertake Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) processes to optimise working modes and improve STV accuracy.
- Support the production team with operational build queries and elevate as required.
- Lead the investigation and first closure of operational non-conformances.
- Produce rework instructions / deviation plans / discrepancies based on project requirements.
- Support Lessons Learned and PPS’s.
- Undertake small-scale continuous improvement initiatives to improve product cost, schedule or quality.
- Support project meetings e.g. SQCDP.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree, or equivalent, with proven practical Engineering & manufacturing knowledge and experience.
- Candidates without accredited qualifications will be considered depending upon experience.

- Assembly/Manufacturing Work Instructions.

- Blue Lines (Process Clarification to Production).

- Experience working in a high quality Spacecraft Production (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration & Test) environment.
