As part of our continued growth in Hardware Design and Test, we are seeking Electronics Test Technicians to support the development and validation of next‑generation electric rotorcraft (eVTOL) platforms.
This role is hands‑on and critical to supporting the execution of electrical and electronic testing activities, ensuring that hardware systems are verified, validated, and ready for integration and certification. You will work closely with engineers across multiple disciplines to support test setups, data acquisition, and troubleshooting of advanced aerospace systems.

This role is Hybrid working in Bristol.
Responsibilities
- Support the setup, execution, and monitoring of electrical and electronic test activities
- Assemble and maintain test rigs, wiring harnesses, and instrumentation systems
- Conduct functional, integration, and environmental testing of electronic hardware
- Operate test equipment and data acquisition systems, ensuring accurate data capture and traceability
- Record and report test results, supporting engineers in analysis and validation activities
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults, working with engineering teams to identify root causes
- Support hardware integration and commissioning activities, including test readiness preparation
- Follow test procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards during all activities
- Assist in the preparation of test documentation, including test reports and logs
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of test equipment is up to date
- Support continuous improvement of test processes, setups, and tooling
Qualifications
- HNC/HND in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Chartered engineer or working towards chartered status within a recognised and relevant professional body.
- Applications are invited from candidates who may hold City and Guilds (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline in concert with significant and demonstrable subject matter expertise in the system domain.
Essential skills
- Hands‑on experience with electronic assembly, wiring, and testing
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience using test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators)
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems and test processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured test procedures
- Basic fault‑finding and troubleshooting capability
- Good organisational skills and ability to maintain accurate test records
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team
Desired skills
- Experience in aerospace or safety‑critical environments
- Familiarity with electrical systems, avionics, or power electronics
- Experience supporting test rigs or laboratory‑based testing environments
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI testing or environmental testing standards (e.g. DO‑160)
- Experience with automated test systems or test software tools
- Exposure to electric propulsion systems or high‑voltage systems
- Understanding of quality and certification processes within regulated industries
