We are looking for technically skilled and motivated aerospace Design Engineers or CAD Designers (CATIA V5) looking to develop in this field. Supporting an OEM customer on a development project. The role offers flexible work arrangements: experienced designers can work on a hybrid (remote) basis, while inexperienced engineers will work full-time in our Belfast office. Under the guidance of a team lead, you will develop and implement technical solutions across various tasks, consistently meeting rigorous design standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Produce innovative design development in Catia V5, providing critical technical insights and collaborating on key customer decisions to drive project success.
  • Development of interface control models (ICM) in the digital mockup.
  • Storage of files in 3D Experience PLM database.
  • Implement technical solutions to ensure they are compliant with all relevant customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements, within agreed program, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Perform all activities at a level of minimal supervision and guide other engineers within the work-package as required.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in design.
Essential skills
  • Proven track record of successful technical project delivery, showcasing ability to manage complex engineering challenges from concept to completion.
  • Previous design experience.
  • Competent in CATIA V5.
  • Good Communication.
  • Knowledge of or able to interpret design standards and processes.
Desired skills
  • Knowledge of 3DExperience PLM.
  • Knowledge of interface control definition for design.
Experience
  • Experience with working with stakeholders, lead engineers, chief engineers and project managers.
  • CAD Catia V5.
  • MS Office.
