As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will carry out detailed Engineering design activities, working closely with cross‑functional teams on a range of projects, ensuring work complies with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities- Produce technical drawings to BS 8888 standards;
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) appropriately;
- Translate an existing concept‑level design into manufacture‑ready drawings;
- Create detailed part and assembly drawings, including BOMs where required;
- Prepare and release drawings into SolidWorks PDM;
- Ensure drawings are clear, consistent, and suitable for suppliers/manufacturing.
- Degree Qualified Engineer in a Mechanical Engineering subject
- Strong experience with SolidWorks
- Good working knowledge of BS 8888 and modern drawing practices
- Solid understanding of GD&T
- Experience preparing designs for manufacture
- Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
