Expleo is seeking experienced and driven Vehicle Test & Validation Engineers to support one of the Midlands' most prestigious automotive manufacturers. This contract role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of vehicle development, contributing directly to the validation of next-generation automotive technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle-Level Testing Across Multiple Facilities
- Fault Identification & Resolution
- Programme Context Awareness
- Develop & Maintain DVPs
- Custodianship of Test Assets
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Team Integration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Independence & Accountability
Working Conditions:
- Vehicle-level testing across diverse test environments.
- Shift work including early/late shifts and weekend coverage to meet programme timelines.
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic schedules and evolving operational needs.
Skills Required:
- Strong capability in vehicle-level evaluation, system performance analysis, and diagnostic investigation.
- Experience conducting testing across multiple facilities (proving grounds, labs, workshops).
- Ability to work effectively in shift-based and weekend testing environments.
- High-level analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and workload-management abilities.
- Proactive problem-solving and ownership of tasks.
Education & Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Systems, or similar) - preferred.
- Proven experience in vehicle testing, validation, or development engineering.
- Familiarity with automotive systems, instrumentation, diagnostics, and test methodologies is advantageous.
- Must have a valid UK driving licence (essential for vehicle-level testing and facility operation).
