Are you a Telematics Engineer looking to join a leading Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer? Do you have a passion for future vehicle development? If so, Expleo has the opportunity for you. We are seeking a Telematics Project Engineer, on behalf of our globally successful Automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis. The successful Engineer will be responsible for the implementation of on-board Telematics systems, whilst collaborating with connected car design and test teams.

Responsibilities of the Telematics Engineer include:

  • Generation and release of TCU configuration data
  • Managing suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery targets
  • Coordination of in-house and supplier TCU validation
  • Project manage on-board and off-board connected car and infotainment teams
  • Collaboration with Telematics Service Providers, ensuring their development schedules are aligned

Background and experience required for the Telematics Engineer position:

  • You will ideally be degree educated
  • Experience of Telematics hardware, systems and knowledge of vehicle connectivity
  • Understanding of mobile network infrastructure and data transfer
  • Knowledge of 5G technologies, non-European mobile networks, MQTT, End to End System architecture and an understanding in European Ecall regulations is desirable
