We are seeking a highly capable Technical Group Integration Engineer to support the development of cutting-edge vehicle architectures within a leading automotive environment. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in integrating new technologies across both new and existing vehicle platforms, ensuring delivery of functional targets, performance attributes, and customer-focused outcomes. You'll act as the technical arbitrator, driving solutions across multiple engineering teams while representing the voice of the customer throughout the development lifecycle.
Location: Warwickshire
Rate: £27.20 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Until March 2027
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead integration and delivery of engineering for a defined vehicle group as part of the wider vehicle programme.
- Act as the technical authority, ensuring alignment with GRID standards, system strategies, and functional targets.
- Drive functional integration, reducing complexity and delivering optimal technical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Vehicle Attribute Robustness teams to embed quality, serviceability, and manufacturability.
- Manage progression of key technical deliverables (CAD, DV, AIMS, build, test, release activities).
- Oversee delivery of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) through virtual and physical validation stages.
- Lead cross-team issue resolution and escalate where necessary to Technical Group Leadership.
- Support complex engineering problem-solving through structured methodologies and Agile approaches.
- Contribute to feasibility studies and Agile 'spike' activities.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Automotive technical knowledge and experience of complex interactions, including technical analysis and decision-making.
- Demonstrated understanding of automotive technology with a level of technical depth into vehicle, system and component design, development and delivery, ability to interrogate and ratify incoming technical standards, system and component assumptions.
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Experience in leading teams of people to solve complex technical issues using a structured approach e.g. 8D and/or Six Sigma.
- Project Management experience of delivery against a complex set of Programme technical deliverables.
- An individual with a customer first mindset who is easy to do business with and makes people feel special, driven to deliver experiences that are personalised, transparent and dependable.
- Progressive thinking individual who takes a keen interest in new ideas and key industry developments.
- Ability to embrace the Agile model and work effectively as a champion of Agile principles in practice.
