Expleo Engineering is recruiting a Systems Test Engineer on behalf of our client. This role will be responsible for operating the environmental chassis emissions dynamometer, conducting pre-checks and vehicle preparation for testing, managing emissions test benches, and compiling detailed test reports. Responsibilities also include the installation and instrumentation of the unit under test. This contract position will be based at our client's site in Warwick.
Responsibilities of the Systems Test Engineer include:
- Collaborate with customers to define technical test requirements, consult on methodologies, and develop tailored test procedures.
- Operate and maintain testing facilities, ensuring compliance with health & safety (H&S) regulations and auditable ISO standards (16949, 14001, etc.).
- Provide technical support, transferring knowledge to new team members, and delivering familiarisation sessions on equipment usage for both new and existing personnel.
Skills required for the Systems Test Engineer role include:
- Expertise in AVL SCADA, PUMA, CAMEO & ETAS INCA within manual and automated engine test facilities.
- Proficiency in ICE emissions measurement and initial quality evaluation across both test bed and chassis dynamometer applications.
- Extensive experience in rig and laboratory-based technical testing and evaluation of ICE systems, with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
- Ability to assess, explain, and optimise test methodologies and facility capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment functionality, flexibility, and operational requirements.
