Expleo is currently recruiting for a System Test & Validation Engineer to support a prestigious automotive client in Warwickshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a Connected Car Platform, delivering cutting-edge digital experiences across luxury vehicles. You will be responsible for validating system features end-to-end, ensuring a seamless, robust, and defect-free customer experience. You'll play a key role in an ambitious transformation programme, helping evolve current technologies into next-generation digital capabilities, supporting the journey toward a carbon-neutral future.

Company: Expleo Group (on behalf of a leading automotive OEM)

Contract: 12 Months

Rate: £33.88 per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own system-level test strategies and plans aligned to release schedules
  • Lead testing activities, prioritising workloads and tracking progress
  • Design detailed test cases and scenarios ensuring full requirement coverage
  • Review and maintain high-quality test artefacts (scripts, cases, reports)
  • Execute tests and provide clear, concise test reporting
  • Conduct end-to-end vehicle validation to confirm feature maturity
  • Manage the defect lifecycle, ensuring timely tracking and resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve issues efficiently
  • Drive continuous improvement of validation processes, with a focus on automation and reuse

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Test strategy and test planning at system level with focus on real-world usage scenarios and failure modes
  • Defect Lifecycle management
  • Strong hands-on understanding of automotive architecture and protocols like CAN, Ethernet (SomeIP/DoIP)
  • Experience in using logging and measurement tools like Vector CANoe, Intrepid, etc.
  • Vehicle and test rig level experience including flashing ECUs
  • Understanding of automotive systems, practices and procedures
