We are currently looking for a Requirement Engineer to take on a pivotal role in an active and high-impact project focused on next-generation mobility solutions. This is a contract role based in Preston.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage system-level requirements across the full V-cycle.
  • Translate customer, legislative, and internal requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Ensure traceability, compliance, and control of requirements through various project phases.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, validation, and systems engineering.
  • Align all work to ISO26262 and other relevant engineering standards (training can be provided).

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5-10 years of experience in requirements or systems engineering roles.
  • Skilled in tools such as DOORS, Polarion, or similar requirements management software.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Background in the automotive sector is preferred, but candidates from aerospace, defence, or rail industries are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic.
