We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Technologist to provide technical support across a range of engineering project activities. Based in Gaydon, this contract role is ideal for a senior-level professional with a strong background in engineering implementation and project delivery. You will play a key role in supporting the design, specification, scheduling, production, installation, and commissioning of equipment. This position requires a hands-on approach to managing complex projects and mentoring junior team members, while ensuring technical accuracy and timely progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for engineering project activities from concept through to commissioning.
- Assist in the preparation of designs, specifications, schedules, and documentation.
- Support production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment.
- Review and verify project progress for invoicing or payment purposes.
- Manage projects or processes independently with minimal supervision.
- Coach and review the work of junior professionals and technicians.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and project implementation.
- Proven experience managing complex engineering projects or processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address difficult and sometimes complex challenges.
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members.
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with industry standards and project control methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
