Are you passionate about cuttingedge electric vehicle technology? We\’re looking for a Test & Development Engineer to join our Power Electronics team on a contract basis, based on-site at CV4 7AL. In this role, you\’ll support the testing of inverters and E-machines, working closely with JLR, academic institutions, and third-party engineering teams. You\’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality testing, data analysis, and technical support that drives innovation forward. Key Responsibilities * Interpret and execute customer test requirements with precision. * Operate dyno test facilities to meet dynamic testing needs. * Configure test methodologies based on facility capabilities. * Analyse test data and provide actionable insights. * Lead the preparation, installation, and commissioning of test units. * Coordinate a small team of technicians to ensure smooth test execution. * Contribute to continuous improvement and cross-functional projects. * Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and engineering hygiene (5S). * Create and update documentation, procedures, and risk assessments. * What You\’ll Bring * Strong understanding of inverters, E-machines, and power electronics. * Hands-on experience with automation and data acquisition systems. * Familiarity with test methodologies and facility operations. * Ability to read and interpret electrical circuits and diagrams. * Proficiency in data analysis tools and structured problem-solving. * Excellent communication and presentation skills. * Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and risk management. * A proactive, flexible, and collaborative mindset.
