One of the world's largest automotive manufacturers is currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products. The purpose of this role is to support pre-production builds, ensuring delivery meets build requirements. Building supplier relationships is an integral part of the role, whilst ensuring all Non Released Parts are delivered on time. Based in Warwickshire, you will be supporting a dedicated and enthusiastic Procurement team on a contract basis.
Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist include:
- Negotiate delivery dates with suppliers to support multiple prototype production builds
- Support the engineering exporting material to suppliers, to supply assemblies in line with prototype build requirements
- Negotiate production slots with internal Tool Rooms and 3D printing operations
- Visit key suppliers to review delivery performance and opportunities to establish and improve supplier performance/relationships
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure successful build events
- Support relevant prototype build activities
- Chair supplier meetings to review part supply status
Qualifications and skills required for the Procurement Specialist position:
- Degree in a relevant subject matter or equivalent industry experience
- Strong background in procurement
