We are seeking a Senior Acoustics Engineer to join our team, working on-site with our customer in the Liverpool area on an initial 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the quality and performance of current production vehicle lines, with a focus on wind noise attributes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and minimize variability in wind noise performance across current production vehicle lines.
- Act as the in-plant representative for wind noise attributes, serving as the voice of the customer within the manufacturing environment.
- Identify deviations from target performance through objective measurements, subjective drive assessments, static evaluations, and build conformance checks.
- Conduct initial root cause investigations and drive resolution in collaboration with responsible departments.
- Liaise closely with the core aeroacoustics team to understand critical attribute characteristics of upcoming products and support ongoing quality initiatives.
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in an automotive production plant quality role.
- Strong background in engineering problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, 8D, Root Cause Analysis).
- Valid full driving licence with the ability to perform subjective vehicle attribute assessments.
- Experience in plant attributes (S&R, Wind Noise, Water Test), NVH development and measurement, vehicle testing and assessment, and automotive component development.
