Are you an experienced HIL Test Engineer with a passion for automotive innovation? We\’re working with a leading automotive OEM to find a talented engineer (initial 12 month contract) to support cutting-edge steering system development. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to future vehicle technologies in a high-performance environment. 🔧 Role Overview As a HIL Test Engineer, you\’ll be responsible for developing and executing test cases within the Steering System HIL environment, implementing OEM vehicle test procedures, and operating the HIL rig. You\’ll collaborate with internal teams, analyse results, and help correlate virtual models with real-world data. 🧠Key Responsibilities * Develop and run test cases in the Steering System HIL (e.g., DSPACE, XPACK4). * Implement existing vehicle test procedures in the HIL setup. * Operate and maintain the Steering System HIL rig. * Develop analysis methods and metrics to evaluate test results. * Liaise with internal stakeholders to meet test requirements. * Characterise and compare steering systems; generate technical reports. * Correlate virtual models with HIL and vehicle data. 🎯 Skills & Experience * Extensive HIL testing experience (DSPACE, XPACK4 or similar). * Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and mechatronic systems. * Proficient in simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink, IPG Carmaker, etc.). * Solid programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C/C++). * Analytical mindset with problem-solving expertise (6-Sigma or similar). * Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus. * Agile methodology experience and a collaborative team player. 🎓 Education * BSc or MSc in Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive, or Data Science
