C# Developer

Works as part of a team to build high quality software. We deliver high quality systems following specific guidelines that promote Agile working in a practical environment. Independently owns delivery in their specialism and works closely with clients and team mates to develop an understanding of their business strategy and architects development solutions based on that.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development of systems based on requirements provided by our BA and/or the customer.
• Follows the direction set by the Principal Developer and follows industry standards in terms of techniques, methodologies, and tools.
• Provides direction and technical expertise in design, development and systems integration.
• Can work as part of a team, mixed between onshore and offshore locations.
• Interacts with key stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Contributes to the development of architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed.
• Understand and deliver to strategic goals.
• Use industry standard Agile methods and tools, ensuring that effective project control, change control, risk management and processes are maintained.
• Oversees go-live and guides troubleshooting.
• Provides technical input for overall delivery models and if possible assists sales with pre-sales activity.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Certification in any one programming skill.
• Additional course or certification in Development.

Essential skills

• Evidence of application/technology and software delivery domain knowledge.
• Good knowledge of emerging technologies and market trends and able to assess impact on business strategies, benefits and risks.
• Experience in working closely with a team to develop an understanding of the requirements to enable successful delivery.
• Full life cycle application development experience and experience in designing, coding and debugging applications.
• Applies insight, originality and a broad perspective to generate revolutionary technical solutions with teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in initiating open and candid relationships with people at all levels. Demonstrates confidence in influencing and explaining things well to compel others.

Tech Stack

• C# / .Net in Azure Cloud
• One or more of these technical skills: C# / .Net, NodeJS, Web API, Messaging (Rabbit or Kafka), Kubernetes / Docker, AWS / Azure, GIT, Terraform, ORMs eg Entity Framework / NHibernate, SQL, Document DB, REST, SOLID, TDD, Agile/SCRUM, Dev Ops, CI / CD.

Experience

• Experience working as part of Scrum teams, working on green and brownfield solutions using the latest technologies.
• Playing a large role in the product lifecycle, contributing to design, from development to delivery through our automated deployment pipelines.
