Expleo are recruiting for an experienced Storesperson to join our team on a contract basis, supporting our client, a major Automotive manufacturer based in Bedfordshire,
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.
This position will be working within a major Automotive Research and Development facility, where the successful candidate will be required to ensure the timely receipt and booking in of vehicle parts, whilst ensuring that stock is controlled using relevant database systems.
Responsibilities of the Storesperson include:
- Receipt of Goods In / Out, to include unloading of vehicle test parts in a timely manner
- Liaising with relevant departments to advise of parts arrival
- Picking test parts as requested by team members
- Support the Team Leader to meet Stores targets to ensure the performance of the department
- Support section management to maintain Health & Safety
- Work with the team to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and capture knowledge
Background & Experience required for the Storesperson role:
- Experience in Stores / Goods Inwards and Outwards
- Forklift licence - minimum of 4 tonnes
- Practical application experience
- Skilled using computer packages
- Good organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload
- A team player with a 'can do' attitude
- Current Full UK Driving Licence xgikmsk
- Experience within Automotive or Engineering or Vehicle build/prototype environment is desirable but not essential
