Responsibilities
- Drive end‑to‑end project delivery excellence and ensure strong operational performance across the business unit.
- Lead and coordinate all projects from initiation to closure, ensuring full adherence to contractual commitments.
- Drive delivery and quality performance, including achievement of RFT, OQD, OTD, and CSAT targets.
- Maximise project profitability by optimising productivity, resource allocation, and offshore utilisation.
- Serve as the primary customer interface at both local and project levels, strengthening long‑term partnerships.
- Support business development activities, including bids, quotations, extensions, and capability proposals.
- Ensure effective financial governance, including Project Finance Reviews, risk management, and cash control.
- Oversee resource planning, utilisation, workforce forecasting, and collaboration with recruitment teams.
- Provide performance and line management for employees within the business unit.
- Work alongside Chief Engineers to support capability development, Personal Development Reviews, and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management or related field.
- Professional certifications such as APM, Prince2, PMP or equivalent are beneficial but not essential.
Essential skills
- Proven ability to manage delivery performance and project financials.
- Excellent client management and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, and quality frameworks.
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery control.
Desired skills
- Exposure to engineering, digital, or technology-led programmes.
- Knowledge of utilisation, margin optimisation, or operational performance metrics.
Experience
- Strong experience leading complex engineering or technology projects end‑to‑end.
- Experience managing project teams, developing people, and supporting capability growth.
- Experience working within consultancy or multi-project delivery environments.
- Experience working with offshore teams or multi-location delivery models.
