Expleo is seeking a Geometry Integration Lead Engineer to join our client's Vehicle Package / Geometric Integration department (12 Month contract) based in Warwickshire. The team is responsible for full-vehicle geometric integration, ensuring systems and components meet performance, packaging, and customer requirements from early concept through to end-of-life. This role specifically supports the Closures and Exteriors groups, contributing to the delivery of high-quality geometry and system integration across multiple vehicle programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Package Zone Leaders and Group Technical Leaders within the Closures and Exteriors area.
- Deliver high-quality, clash-free geometry that meets programme targets.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and Centres of Competence with a customer-first approach.
- Develop packaging proposals for key components and systems.
- Support delivery teams with weight-, cost- and customer-optimised packaging solutions.
- Conduct CAD studies to ensure compliance with geometric targets, standards and system requirements.
- Contribute to elegant, efficient geometric and system integration solutions.
- Assist in resolving cross-functional engineering issues.
- Apply agile working principles to support integration sprints within the zone.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Essential - Experience in product design in at least one functional area.
- Experience with CATIA V6 for detail or packaging design and geometric integration.
- Structured problem-solving approach & issue-management skills.
- Good communication skills - Presentation, written, graphical and verbal.
- Well-rounded knowledge of vehicle types, propulsion systems and subsystems.
- Experience in using benchmarking tools to support idea generation.
- Experience in negotiating solutions in an area of technical conflict.
- The commitment to deliver quality results in a flexible and dynamic team environment.
- A proven ability to work within strict timing constraints.
- The ability to achieve results efficiently, making effective use of all resources available within the company and outside.
- Desirable - Lead engineer or delivery to launch experience of exterior parts.
- Higher Degree.
- Basic knowledge DOORS/RMDV/RTC/JIRA/SDots/WERS/AIMS.
- Trained/Experienced using AGILE methodology and Agile planning tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA) & Design Review Based on Failure Mode (DRBFM).
- Ability to use CAD viewer tools such as Digi buck / Teamcenter.
- Understanding of project planning and delivery to plan.
- Knowledge of electronic-based parts listing and family trees.
- Working knowledge of Vehicle Packaging roles, Vehicle Engineering and CoC structures and responsibilities.
- Experience in presentation to peers and senior management.
- Experienced Vismockup / Digibuck / 3DX user.
- Experience with CATIA V5.
