Expleo is seeking an experienced SAP ERP Business Analyst to join our team, supporting one of our major OEM clients based in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior-level role, providing critical business analysis expertise during a maternity cover period.
About the Role
As an SAP Business Analyst, you will play a key role in analysing business needs, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating requirements into effective SAP ERP solutions. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and SAP development teams, ensuring that system enhancements align with business processes and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business needs, processes, and requirements to determine how SAP ERP solutions can deliver value.
- Conduct detailed requirements gathering and translate business needs into SAP functional specifications.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements across relevant SAP modules.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to validate proposed SAP solutions.
- Communicate functional requirements clearly to the SAP development and technical teams.
- Manage workstreams or small projects independently with limited supervision.
- Coach, mentor, and review outputs from junior analysts or team members.
- Solve challenges that are often complex and require advanced analytical thinking.
Skills Required:
- Working knowledge and experience of S/4HANA Transport Management System (Inbound Order-based planning preferable including freight unit building, transportation cockpit optimisation, integration with MM/EWM modules).
- Ability to create end-to-end test scenarios based on business processes for S/4HANA TM User Acceptance Testing.
- Ability to perform hands-on execution of test scripts in S/4HANA TM and validate results against expected outcomes.
- Experience working in Logistics Sector (Freight sector preferred).
- Understand automotive or other supply chains and material flow principles.
- Able to conduct detailed business process mapping / analysis and identify improvement opportunities, supported by data.
- Track record of performing structured analysis of data and presenting outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in the use of Data and Analytics tools and processes and confident working with disparate data sources (structured and unstructured).
- Data exploration / visualisation with Tableau (preferred), Looker, Power BI etc.
- Strong across the Office 365 technology stack (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to work independently, plan and prioritise varying workload and demands.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
