Expleo is seeking a Software Verification Engineer to support a major DAL D to DAL A software assurance uplift programme.
The role is responsible for executing requirements-based verification activities, supporting independent review processes and generating the formal verification evidence required to achieve DAL A compliance.
Working under the direction of the Verification and Vector CAST Lead, the successful candidate will develop and review test objectives and test cases, support Vector CAST execution, perform dry-run and formal test activities, record verification evidence and contribute towards structural coverage and MC/DC closure.
This role is a key part of maintaining verification independence across the programme and will work closely with requirements, software design, certification and quality assurance teams.
The RFQ specifically requires independent reviews, requirements-based testing, formal execution, MC/DC evidence capture and verification checklist completion.
This role is based full-time on-site, working directly alongside customer engineering and assurance teams throughout programme execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test objectives, test cases and verification procedures.
- Perform requirements-based software verification activities.
- Execute dry-run and formal verification activities.
- Review verification artefacts in accordance with independence requirements.
- Record verification results and maintain evidence packages.
- Support Vector CAST test execution and coverage collection activities.
- Assist with MCDC coverage assessment and closure.
- Perform formal checklist reviews and compliance assessments.
- Maintain requirements-to-test traceability evidence.
- Support investigation and triage of verification findings.
- Contribute to Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development and maintenance.
- Support hardware-based verification activities using evaluation boards and customer equipment.
- Assist the Verification Lead with readiness reviews and evidence closure activities.
- Ensure all verification artefacts are maintained under configuration control.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
- Software testing or verification training desirable.
- Exposure to regulated engineering environments advantageous.
