Expleo is a leading Global Engineering Services Provider with UK presence in 10 locations. We are seeking a Senior Legislation & Standards Engineer to support our client in the maritime defence industry. The successful candidate is likely to have an electronics or systems engineering background and be conversant with legislation compliance with industry, environmental and safety standards. This role will be fully remote with occasional visits to the client site in Frimley/Barrow in Furness.
We are looking for an energetic and driven engineer with broad expertise; candidates from highly regulated industries such as marine, military, aerospace, nuclear or rail are particularly attractive. Responsibilities
- Review supplier documents, specifically legislation compliance reports, declarations of conformity, technical files, bills of materials, components, and lists.
- Peer‑review contract documents such as requirements, technical compliance matrices, ITTs, etc. for legislative requirements.
- Liaise with programme managers, engineering managers, technical authorities and engineers.
- Attend meetings with suppliers to help find solutions to issues with supplier documentation.
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers and support the engineering management team in planning and controlling specialist activities.
- Work with various engineering teams to improve own levels of domain knowledge and subject‑matter expertise.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering. Where applicable, suitable experience in addition to a lower qualification would be acceptable.

Experience
- Previous experience/understanding of Legal Processes would be very desirable.
- Experience in engineering – electrical, mechanical or electro‑mechanical would be desirable.
