We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems capability to the engineering community within a complex engineering environment. This role focuses on delivering IT-enabled solutions and system implementations, ensuring that PLM platforms effectively support engineering processes across design, configuration control, change management, and downstream manufacturing integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed delivery plans, ensuring alignment with overall programme and IT portfolio objectives.
- Work collaboratively with other IT projects, IT delivery partners, and stakeholders across the engineering teams within the business.
- Develop, manage, and own the implementation and cutover plan for go-live activities, including readiness, transition, and early-life support.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies.
- Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT systems capability.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, issues, and key decisions.
- Ensure all system deliverables meet agreed quality standards and are fit for purpose for the engineering user community.
- Coordinate third-party vendors and system integrators where applicable, ensuring delivery to agreed scope and timelines.
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management systems and their role within complex engineering organisations.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise IT systems.
- Excellent client- and stakeholder-facing skills, with the ability to engage engineering, IT and business audiences.
- Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to guide and align multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
- High levels of self-management and personal accountability in complex delivery environments.
- A desire to continuously build domain knowledge spanning tools, platforms, and engineering systems.
Experience
- Working within a structured IT delivery or systems implementation model.
- Delivering complex enterprise or engineering-facing IT systems (e.g. PLM, ALM, ERP, CAD environments).
- Experience working in complex engineering, or similarly regulated, safety-critical environments is desirable but not essential.
- Teamcenter β Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform.
- NX β CAD/CAM/CAE design and engineering suite.
- Polarion β Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and requirements management tool.
