In the role of Detail Planning Engineer, you will create engineering instructions from design definitions directly linked to the production process. Independently create instructions while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and quality of the engineering method and Bill of Materials. Produce appropriate department documentation using SAP PP: Routings, BoM’s, MI’s Installations, assemblies & detail manufacture. Implementation and control of change to the product. Able to perform non‑complex project reporting and scheduling. Occasionally provide informal technical support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Contribute to the development of department processes, actively shaping the operational efficiency. Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft packages. Responsible for liaising with other technical departments.

Experience

  • An understanding of the manufacturing used within the business.
  • Engineering Drawing Reading and Interpretation including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to access, have a clear understanding of and apply the Quality and HS&E Management System documentation, eg Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc, applicable to your particular work scope and to obey all HS&E rules and control measures.
  • Knowledge of Business processes and procedures.
  • Experience of working with SAP.
  • Experience of working with PLM systems (Teamcenter).
  • Experience of working with stakeholders typically inside the company.
