We are looking for a Business Analyst, preferably with a technical background to support IT project initiatives within our clients' complex manufacturing environment. The Technical Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role combines analytical thinking, technical understanding, and strong communication skills to translate complex requirements into actionable specifications that engineering and product teams can deliver. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys problem-solving, and can confidently collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications.
- Analyse existing systems, processes, and data flows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Support feasibility studies, impact assessments, and solution evaluations.
Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with software engineers, architects, and product managers to design scalable solutions.
- Create detailed technical documentation such as data models, API requirements, workflow diagrams, and system mappings.
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria and support QA teams during testing cycles.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical discussions.
Data & Systems Insight
- Perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, or BI tools to support decision-making.
- Understand system integrations, APIs, and data pipelines to ensure end-to-end solution integrity.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production issues.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the liaison between business units and technical teams.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible way.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (CBAP, Agile BA, Scrum Master, etc.).
- Teamcenter – Product Life cycle Management (PLM) platform.
- NX – CAD/CAM/CAE design and engineering suite.
- Polarion – Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and requirements management tool.
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, databases, and integration patterns.
- Proficiency with requirements gathering techniques and documentation standards.
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to create process maps, user stories, and technical specifications.
