Expleo are recruiting for an experienced Health Management System Engineer to join our team on either a permanent or contract basis, supporting our client, a major Automotive manufacturer based in Warwickshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise advanced automotive diagnostic and measurement tools including Vector CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer, and associated diagnostic toolchains to support vehicle fault analysis, validation, and issue resolution.
- Apply Systems Engineering expertise to drive effective technical problem solving across complex automotive domains.
- Support end to end mechatronic system integration, addressing vehicle level interactions, integration challenges, and cross domain dependencies.
- Identify system robustness gaps through DFMEA, analyse system level failure modes, and contribute to informed design improvements.
- Develop and validate safety mechanisms such as fault detection, reaction strategies, degradation modes, and fault logging processes for sophisticated automotive systems.
- Ensure long term system robustness and reliability using structured analysis, verification, and validation methodologies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Degree-level education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Hands‑on experience with Vector CANape, CANoe and CANalyzer.
- Understanding and practical application of ISO 14229 (UDS) and ISO 26262.
- Strong understanding of AUTOSAR Classic and POSIX-based OS/middleware fault handling architectures.
- Understanding of Automotive hardware/software architectures with focus on functional safety design, FMEA controls, and system reliability engineering.
- Proficient in structured problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D, root cause analysis, and engineering containment strategies.
