As a Switches Project Engineer at Expleo, you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of cutting-edge switches for our current and future road cars. Join our dynamic Cockpit Electronics team and contribute to the specification, development, testing, and delivery of all interior switches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery of switch components.
- Lead the development roadmap for future switches in customer road cars.
- Write detailed system specifications and integrate switches with the overall vehicle architecture.
- Oversee the development of hardware and software suppliers to meet project milestones.
- Report on project activities and issues at a business level.
- Develop and coordinate DVP plans for switch software and hardware.
- Ensure launch readiness of features for production.
- Test customer road cars with the latest features and content before release.
- Assist with fault finding, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Lead the mechanical integration of switch components within the vehicle interior.
- Maintain the attribute performance of the switches.
Required Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Several years of experience in switches development and delivery of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems for automotive applications.
- Proficiency in the Systems Development Lifecycle (V Model), including writing system requirements and test procedures.
- Ability to produce professional-standard documentation.
- Expertise in creating and maintaining DFMEAs.
- Strong organizational and fault-finding skills.
- Familiarity with issue tracking tools (Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla, etc.).
- Ability to manage project milestones and timing plans effectively.
